Keep an eye on Project Agorá

Keep an eye on Project Agorá, it’s the Fed’s attempt to create a “totally not CBDC” trojan horse. Read the PDF here: https://www.bis.org/publ/othp110.pdf [archived]

From the Institute of International Finance:

Project Agorá seeks to explore a new approach to wholesale cross-border payments using tokenization and programmable technologies, including smart contracts. The project brings together seven central banks — including issuers of five major reserve currencies — alongside more than 40 private sector financial institutions in a unique public-private collaboration convened by the Bank for International Settlements and the Institute of International Finance.

This reads like a CBDC to me!

Below is a PDF with the full text. “A shared programmable platform for wholesale
cross-border payments” sure sounds like “US Government wants more control over global commerce”.
